Travel Photography in Colombia and Nicaragua with El Camino Travel
Some of my favorite work happens far from home, with a camera, a passport and no plan to stay in one place. As the group photographer for El Camino Travel, a women-led travel company with a big heart, I photographed their journeys in Nicaragua and Colombia.
In Nicaragua, we began in San Juan del Sur with morning yoga, surf lessons and a catamaran to a quiet beach. We moved to Granada for a cooking class, cigars and a boat ride through the islets, then up into the cloud forest at El Bajo for sunrise meditation and a sunset hike. Every morning I delivered 20 to 30 edited photos of the day before, so the group could stay in the moment instead of behind a phone.
Colombia was the same promise in a new country: stay curious, stay close, and photograph the in-between moments that tell the real story of a place and the people traveling through it.
I’m a travel, commercial, lifestyle and portrait photographer based in Los Angeles and Asheville, North Carolina, and I travel worldwide for brands, retreats and group trips. See more at thesabrina.com, and learn about El Camino Travel at elcamino.travel.
