In September I spent two days in Fall Branch, Tennessee, photographing a patient testimonial for Dupixent with Reverba Global. Storytelling was my first love, and pharma patient stories let me do it every time. I get to learn about the medicine and hear real health stories, then tell them in pictures. This one was one of those jobs I’m still smiling about!
The crew
Most of the crew came over from Knoxville, and I loved working with them. They were calm, quick and kind, and they made two long days feel easy. That matters when you’re photographing someone’s real health story, because the room sets the tone. I hope to shoot with them again!
Greg
Our talent, Greg, was a joy. He was relaxed and honest in front of the camera, and the crew made sure he felt comfortable all day. A patient story only works when the person feels at ease, and Greg made it easy.
Lifestyle and seamless, all in one shoot
I loved getting to shoot both lifestyle and seamless on one job. The lifestyle side was Greg’s real day at the farm, where I got to meet all the goats and chickens, plus a planned shoot with a semi truck out in the Tennessee heat. The other day was portraits on white seamless. I love how the two work together. The lifestyle images tell the real story, and the seamless portraits give the team clean options for anywhere the campaign lives.
Why I love this work
I started out in film and commercial directing, so storytelling has always been my first love. A patient shoot is storytelling at its most real. I get to learn about the medicine, hear someone’s real story, and then find the pictures that tell it honestly. Every shoot teaches me something new, and I leave better at my job.
I’m based in Asheville and Los Angeles, and I travel for shoots like this. You can see more pharma and healthcare work at thesabrina.com/healthcare.
