Why Healthcare?

What draws me to photographing healthcare campaigns?Well, it's the chance to capture the essence of a vital and profound industry. Through my lens, I have the opportunity to shed light on the exceptional work, unwavering dedication, and compassionate care provided by doctors, nurses, and medical professionals. And perhaps my favorite part is capturing the sense of hope that exists within the patients. Capturing their resilience, strength and determination is incredibly inspiring.

Iā€™m also captivated by how technology plays a crucial role in this field. From innovative treatments to digital advancements, technology is revolutionizing healthcare and transforming the way we deliver and receive care. Iā€™m super into the tools.

This work is a reminder of how precious our well-being is. It prompts us to reflect on the value of our health and the significance it holds in our lives. After all, if we don't have our health, what else can we truly possess?

Through my photography, I aim to convey the gravity and significance of the healthcare field, honoring those who contribute to it, and reminding viewers of the profound impact that healthcare has on our lives.

The Spiciest Witch in Asheville...

Some of you may know that I have a new trick up my sleeve. Donā€™t worry. Photography is still my main love. But Itā€™s been so wonderful to create joy in other avenues. Iā€™ve leaned into my culinary skills and created something magical AND tasty. SPICE WITCH was created during the pandemic as a fun kitchen project with my roommateā€¦ Years later SPICE WITCH is still going strong, with new projects, national shipping and wholesale customers. If you havenā€™t already, please click yourself over to www.spicewitchspice.com and do yourself a favor. Order yourself a bottleā€¦or 2 and see what all the fuss is about. Not only is Spice Witch something Iā€™m really excited and proud about, itā€™s really forced me to become a better food photographer too!

Putting the Clan in Can

It was a matter of time before I starting shooting beer here in Asheville. It happened fast and I was lucky to capture this important story for Good Grit Magazine. 7 Clans Brewing, owned by Morgan Crisp is the first Native American woman brewer in North Carolina. It was my absolute joy to meet her and help tell her special story. And have a beer of courseā€¦

Did you know I play soccer?

Center midfield to be exactā€¦. I played all through high school and some college and now just play for fun. I think itā€™s a wonderful sport for many reasons. So when I got the call to photograph Megan Rapinoe for The Skills I was stoked! The Skills is an awesome online library of educational video courses. Itā€™s basically a Masterclass for all things sports. We had a great time on the field and listening to her interview but I was especially pleased to take advantage of the empty stadium for a few shots with Megan. We raced down to the field and pushed the bench into the perfect spot for the very last drops of light. Megan was so lovely and game for it all.

I Linked In with LinkedIn.

Itā€™s always a win when you find a client that just lets you do what you do best. I had the fantastic experience of working with Brands2Life and LInkedIn on a few jobs this year, which resulted in a bunch of huge images all over San Francisco. My mom was proud. In case you didnā€™t see them, here are some snaps of my snaps. Enjoy!
